Wilkins Township – 2014 Banner Community – A Repeat Performance!
The Allegheny League of Municipalities and Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald recently announced that Wilkins Township has been designated as a Banner Community for the second year in a row. Banner Communities are those Allegheny County communities that implement best practices in all aspects of their operations and that govern in an inclusive, collaborative manner.





WILKINS TOWNSHIP – A 2013 BANNER COMMUNITY
Wilkins Township was recognized by the Allegheny League of Cities and Municipalities as a Banner Community in 2013. Banner Communities are those that meet the following criteria: provide education and training to newly elected officials and ongoing training to elected officials; are active members of the Allegheny League of Municipalities and County Associations; are active members of a Council of Government and participate in at least one shared service; conduct an annual activity that promotes local government and conduct a citizen communication program.
