Welcome From the CHAIRMAN

Sylvia J. Martinelli

On behalf of the Board of Commissioners, I am pleased to welcome you to the official website of the Township of Wilkins, Allegheny County, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Wilkins Township is a Township of the First Class, located in the eastern suburbs of the City of Pittsburgh. It is predominantly a residential community of approximately 6917 individuals. Wilkins offers its residents wonderful parks in each of our neighborhoods with ample green space, sports fields, pavilions for picnicking, and walking trials. We also maintain a beautiful new Community Center which serves as a hub for the many activities provided by our Recreational Advisory Board and many of our service organizations.

Our residents are continually being served by an outstanding Police Department, dedicated Public Works Department and the scores of volunteers who man our Volunteer Fire Departments.

Although our major business area is the Route 22 corridor, we are proud to claim two other thriving business areas; Brown Avenue and Greensburg Pike. A small light industrial area is located on Lower Rodi Road. The residents enjoy a diverse mix of commercial establishments in each of these areas, which are easily accessible from all neighborhoods. We are pleased to add these areas are still growing.

To learn more about our "Warm, Wonderful Wilkins," I invite you to explore this website.

Thank you for your interest in Wilkins Township!

Sincerely,

Sylvia J. Martinelli, Chairperson
